Latex Mattresses for Support and Comfort

Latex mattresses are designed to provide sleepers with support and comfort.  Latex mattresses are none for being hypoallergenic.  But, it is important to understand that only the natural latex mattresses are truly hypoallergenic.  There are synthetic latex mattresses on the market as well and they have chemicals that could cause potential allergy problems to allergy sufferers.  Natural latex comes from the rubber tree plant.  There are two different methods of acquiring the source for the latex from the rubber tree.  The difference in the mattresses made with natural latex is determined by the method used.  Talalay is a method that infuses bubbles of air into the latex which provides for a softer support than the Dunlop method, which is used to create a firmer mattress.  To determine the preference that you prefer between the two methods, you will have to try the mattresses out at a retail establishment or mattress showroom.
